NEAU is key university of “211 project” which joined up CERNET with Harbin Institute of Technology by the end of 1995. At present school is possessed of advanced campus network and cover with various corner of campus. The teachers and students of whole university can enter INTERNET through CERNET，which offer various information service for INTERNET ,such as WWW and FTP and BBS and EMAIL. Now we have 4 network classrooms and 18 multimedia classrooms and 1 network laboratory.
Control center of computer network is the builder and management of campus network of NEAU, which ?is established in December 1995 and takes on network technology supporting and service of whole university at all the time. Control enter of computer network become the network technology supporter and manager of developing distance network teaching.
In the Heilongjiang province, NEAU cooperate intimately with Data Communication Bureau of Heilongjiang and utilize CHINANET to connect outside school learning center. At present which have overlaid municipality and county and 98 percent towns of our province. Headquarter may interlink by high speed with outside learning centers on 163 net and transmit video teaching information by real time and may better satisfy demand of developing distance network teaching.
By the end of 2000，Network Educational College starts to cooperate with Telecommunication Company of Harbin and is first resetting wide band internet in the higher colleges of province and in 6 March 2001 which is formal cutting-in. The system realizes that billion optical fiber enter campus directly and hundred mega optical fiber enter building and ten mega optical fiber come into desk and improve greatly network applied circumstance of teachers and students.
